Tailored rehab for EPM, Kissing Spine, injuries, wound care, root out mysterious lameness and more.
Our facility is owned and operated by Mary Ann Brogden. She is a passionate and driven equestrian certified in Equine Rehabilitation and many body worker modalities. She began her career as a professional trainer which gives her an edge in understanding horse behavior. Understanding the difference between pain related behavior and learned behavior sets her apart. She is onsite 24/7. Here at Twisted B, we specialize in equine rehabilitation therapy & fitness. Our experienced therapists focus on conditions like EPM and Kissing Spine, soft tissue regeneration, bleeders, top line building, & more. We ensure your horse receives personalized care tailored to their needs.
The passion and drive at Twisted B is contagious. From educational classes held at our barn to sending you home with your horse with an understanding of what and how to follow their rehab/fitness protocol. We aim to help you get to the root issue of mysterious lameness. Get your horse fit the correct way through our understanding of biomechanics and our Whole Horse Approach. This understanding of movement and approach helps us to identify patterns in the body that are the contributing factors of lameness and injury. This approach also helps us to correct dysfunction before lameness or injury can present itself. We believe it takes a village with horses. We work closely with your vet and other professionals.
Staff are trained on equipment and understand how to operate it in a safe manner without overstimulating your horse. Your horse is monitored closely while it's on the therapy equipment. Overstimulating your horse can actually set your horse's rehab back.
No worries on being charged for each modality. Your responsibility is farrier, vet and any supplements you wish your horse to have. We have a farrier if you choose to use him. Elijah's Equine Services. Feed and hay are included. Our feed program follows an anti-inflammatory program with a nutritionist on site.
All horses are unique in their build, posture, conformation and discipline. When injury arises, they begin to compensate and overload joints. Stall rest can be a headache but through our programs, our staff is trained to spot soreness, sour bellies, and to keep the body and mind harmonized and balanced. We can even build or retain muscle on stall rest! Tailored rehab for EPM, Kissing Spine, injuries, fractures, wound care, root out mysterious lameness and more. Fitness to give your horse the top line you just can't seem to achieve, lengthen stride, build muscle and give you that competitive edge. Our programs aid in rooting out alley issues, ducking barrels, running up the fence, jump refusals, and behavioral issues.
